This group of recordings came about out of the failure of another group of recordings we tried to do at Greg's studio in Osaka. That group of recordings featured spoken word--like the other albums that Greg and I have made. But, things didn't go well.

So, we changed locations and approaches.

Greg came over to MIIT House on 9.9.2021 and we improvised the drum with bass layers for tracks 01, 02 & 06. Greg also added the guitar layer onto track 02. A couple days later, I added saxophone and hose layers.

Then, I recorded the drum layers for tracks 04 and 07 before we met again on 9.14. Greg played bass layers for those tracks, as well as playing the solo bass layer that became track 05. Together, we played the drum and bass layer of track 03.

On 9.16, I recorded saxophone layers for all the 9.14 tracks and started editing this album titled: Oblongation.

Now, on 9.17.2021 (my 57th birthday), it feels done. For now, anyway.
